Solar System Troubleshooting and Repair in the West Valley

Production dropped, the inverter is showing an error, or the app stopped updating. Mike finds the cause and tells you the fix before any equipment gets replaced. Systems other companies installed are fine too.

We find the cause before we replace anything

A higher bill does not always mean a broken system, and an app that went quiet does not always mean the panels stopped making power. Mike checks the production history and the equipment itself, then explains what is wrong in plain terms. Banx is licensed and bonded under ROC 340040.

Serving Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Avondale, Buckeye, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise and Phoenix.

Problems we can look into

  • Production that stopped or dropped for no clear reason.
  • Inverter warnings, fault codes, or parts that are not reporting.
  • Monitoring or Wi-Fi problems that hide what the system is doing.
  • Damaged wiring, or worries about solar breakers, disconnects or conduit.
  • A system that needs service after the original installer went away.

Solar services

Production checks and inspections

We go over the problem you reported, the production history you have, and the electrical equipment involved. The goal is to find the cause and write down the next step. A higher bill on its own does not prove the solar failed, so we look at the production numbers too.

Inverter and part replacement

We troubleshoot inverter problems and look at compatible replacements, including microinverters and optimizers where they fit. Repairs to solar breakers, disconnects, wiring and conduit are scoped to the condition of your system and what the install requires.

Monitoring and connection problems

A system can lose its connection to the app and keep making power the whole time. We check both the reporting and what the system is actually doing, so the fix goes after the real problem.

Warranty claim help

If a part might be covered, we can document the failure and work the claim with the manufacturer. They decide coverage. Diagnostic time, labor, shipping and return trips may not be covered by a parts warranty.

Removal and reinstall for roof work

We can plan the solar side of a roof job with your roofer: taking it down, putting it back, and checking the electrical after. The written scope lists any equipment or mounting changes and keeps the solar work separate from the roof repairs.

What to expect when you call

1. Tell us what changed

Send your city, the brand on the inverter, any error message, and a screenshot of the app. Photos help, as long as you can take them from the ground.

2. Confirm the visit

The diagnostic visit is $195, and it comes off the repair price if you go ahead with the work. You know what the visit costs before we schedule it, and the repair is priced separately once we know what is wrong.

3. Hear what we found

Mike explains the problem, any more testing it needs, and the repair price. Nothing gets replaced until you approve the scope and the price.

4. Fix it and check it

After the approved work, we check that the system is running and reporting again, and tell you about any manufacturer follow-up or limits that are left.

Inverter and solar equipment

Send the brand and model from the label on your inverter, and Mike tells you up front whether it is equipment we can service. Exact model, parts access and the manufacturer’s requirements all get checked before we schedule.

Thinking about backup power too? See home battery backup, including adding a battery to the solar you already have, or see all solar and battery services.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help if my original solar installer closed?
Yes. We work on systems other companies installed. Any paperwork, warranty information, or access to the monitoring app you have helps us figure out the next step.
My app says offline. Did my panels stop producing?
Not necessarily. A system can lose its connection and keep making power. We check what the equipment is actually doing before anyone recommends replacing it.
Do you work on leased solar systems?
Yes. Tell us up front that it’s leased. Some repairs need the leasing company’s okay, so we check your agreement before we start.
How much does solar repair cost?
The diagnostic visit is $195, and it comes off the repair price if you go ahead with the work. The repair price depends on what we find, the equipment and the access, and you get it before we do the work. A free estimate covers pricing a known job, not open-ended troubleshooting.
Will the manufacturer’s warranty cover the repair?
The manufacturer decides that. We can document the problem and work the claim with them, but a parts warranty often does not cover labor, diagnostic time, shipping or a return visit.
